Guarding Our Ear Gate in the Last Days

Lev 19:16-17
You shall not go about as a talebearer among your people; nor shall you take a stand against the life of your neighbor: I am the LORD. You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.

Malicious talkers inject poison in three ways, for it brings injury to the teller, the hearer, and the accused. Whether what they say is true or false, God’s word forbids it.

It is a disgraceful to help the devil dishonor the church and the Lord!
This is why some tongues need a tight bridle. See James 3:3-5

The bible states we are to cover our brother’s nakedness. This is why a curse was placed on Ham, one of Noah’s sons.

Gen 9:22-23 Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father's nakedness and told his two brothers outside. 23 But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father's nakedness. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father's nakedness.

Do not misunderstand. I am not saying to be partakers of people’s sin or to compromise His Word. By no means! However, we were not called to be judging either. Matthew 7:1-2

Our tongues are to speak of the righteousness and goodness of the Lord.
Remember Romans “For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.”

Let God be true and every man a liar! Romans 3:4

Proverbs, given for wisdom and instruction, states

A wicked man listens to evil lips; a liar pays attention to a malicious tongue. Prov 17:4

It is the unleashing of our tongues that kills our blessings and will bring lukewarmness in these lasts days. Beloved, let us use our tongues wisely and for instruction.

Mal 2:7 "For the lips of a priest ought to preserve knowledge, and from his mouth men should seek instruction — because he is the messenger of the LORD Almighty.

May we heed the Holy Spirit and use our tongues to declare His greatness as we await the soon coming of our Lord.

They will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might, so that all men may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. Ps 145:11-12
